Time to Say Goodbye
If we had wanted to stage manage our final performances in New Zealand we could not have done better than today's two concerts at the Great Hall of Auckland Town Hall. Two different audiences but the same warmth in the reception from the moment the Choir walked on stage. Every piece was received with enthusiastic applause and soloists, Sali-Wyn Ryan, Jo Appleby and Andrew Rees also struck up an immediate bond with the audience. The response to our soloists, from audiences throughout the tour has been tremendous and their contribution has clearly been appreciated.
Also very much in the spotlight today was Jan Ball, pictured at the keyboard of the magnificent organ which dominates one end of the Great Hall.
Tomorrow sees us return to Australia with Brisbane and Sydney our final tour destinations.
