Orpheus in 'Lockdown' Tribute to Gwyrosydd

Following the success of its first venture into the world of virtual recording with 'You'll Never Walk Alone', the Morriston Orpheus chose one of Wales' most popular songs for its second remote recording.

The words of Calon Lân were written by Daniel James who was born in Treboeth, Swansea and who wrote much of his work under his Bardic name Gwyrosydd. This year sees the Centenary of Daniel James' death in March 1920.

The words of Calon Lân are particularly meaningful at this difficult of times highlighting the value of a pure heart over material wealth.
