Corona Virus forces suspension of Choir activities.

For only the second time in our illustrious history and after very careful consideration of the issues and concerns that surround us, the officers, music team and all members of Morriston Orpheus Choir at tonight’s AGM have decided, unanimously and regrettably, that the only responsible course of action in the light of the Corona Virus forecast is to temporarily SUSPEND all practises and commitments as of today, Sunday 15/03/2020.

Given the age and medical issues of many of the choir members and their families, we feel this is the right decision until updated advice and information is available.

Some forthcoming concerts have already been cancelled/postponed by event organisers and we anticipate there may well be more. We are keen to return to normal operation as soon as possible in order to fulfil those engagements that remain in our calendar including some concerts postponed during the current public health crisis, which may be re-arranged for later in the year. We will keep you informed and updated on our Facebook Page and on this website.
